This Converter does the same as the TC-E3ED but is approximately 30% smaller and is approximately 30% more lightweight to be more portable. "PF" stands for Phase Fresnel and is a lens that contains a series of concentric circles engraved into it with a jagged surface in cross section. This way of developing lenses enables Nikon to make much smaller lenses.
