The COOLPIX P3 is a high performance camera that is designed to help you take pictures in demanding situations. Advanced features such as 11 point wide-area Auto Focus combine with an 8.1 megapixel resolution, a 3.5x optical Zoom-Nikkor lens and the latest Wi-Fi capability - technology that enables you to transfer your pictures directly to your computer or a compatible printer without the need for wires and cables. The Optical Vibration Reduction system (VR), an innovation derived from Nikon’s combined experience in nano-technology and professional photography, alleviates the effects of camera shake caused by slight hand movements. - Aperture Priority scene mode lets you choose your aperture so you can take control over depth of focus and the camera selects the best shutter speed for optimal exposure.
- Continuous shooting at up to 1.8 frames per second. Perfect for shooting moving subjects with absolute clarity.
- Wi-Fi enables you to send pictures to your computer as soon as they are taken, or to store them in your memory card and then transfer them later to your computer or directly to a compatible printer – all without the need for wires and cables.
- In-camera COOLPIX technologies: Face-priority AF* automatically locates and focuses on people’s faces ensuring superb, crisply focused portraits. (*Face-recognition capability may be limited in some conditions.) D-Lighting rescues underexposed images by improving brightness and picture detail where needed, while leaving correctly exposed areas just as they are. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix analyzes each image and automatically finds and corrects any accidental red-eye, which can sometimes occur in flash photography.
