In order to use the Interval Timer, select ‘Continuous’ in the Camera Menu then select ‘Time Lapse’. Set the interval time at 30sec or 1, 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes: Return to the shooting menu and press the shutter release to begin recording. The camera will take pictures at specified intervals until the shutter-release button is pressed again. The above animation shows the kind of results you can achieve. Noise Reduction

At Slow shutter speeds, ‘noise’ in the form of randomly spaced, brightly coloured pixels may appear in pictures, particularly in shadows. In order to avoid this happening at shutter speeds of 1/4s or slower, simply turn ‘Noise Reduction’ on in your camera menu and your camera will reduce the ‘noise’ automatically.
