Here are some tricks to try when photographing buildings. To prevent loss of details visible to the naked eye in photos that are backlit, use HDR. HDR combines two images with different exposures to preserve details in highlights and shadows.

Retouch: Perspective control

The effects of perspective may cause distortion in photos of tall buildings taken from the bottom looking up. This can be corrected using the "Perspective control" option in the retouch menu.
