You choose the aperture and let the camera automatically adjust shutter speed for optimal exposure. Use to control background blur.

01. Rotate the exposure mode dial to A.
02. To choose an aperture between the minimum and maximum values for the lens, rotate the sub-command dial while the exposure meters are on; the selected aperture is shown in the control panel and viewfinder.
