The WT-3 is a high performance Wireless Transmitter specifically designed to increase the versatility of the Nikon D200. Whether you are on location or in the studio, it enables the transfer of images directly from the D200 to a computer or compatible printer via both Wireless LAN and Ethernet LAN, and both FTP and PTP/IP protocols are supported. The WT-3 also enables the remote control of the camera from a computer that has Nikon Camera Control Pro software installed. High-security options protect your images while they are being transferred, and the included Setup Utility makes it simple to connect to a variety of devices (such as computers, FTP servers and printers). To facilitate more comfortable vertical format shooting, there are separate buttons for shutter release and AF start, as well as a main and sub-command dial. The WT-3 is powered by the same rechargeable Li-on EN-EL3e Battery as the D200.
Interface: IEEE 802.11b/g wireless LAN & 100BASE-T Ethernet compatible. Effective transfer rate of 10 Mbps over a wireless LAN, and 15 Mbps over Ethernet.
Power source: One Rechargeable EN-EL3e Li-ion Battery (the MB-D200 supports two) and an AC Adapter EH-6 (connected to the WT-3). The WT-3 powers the camera and a single EN-EL3e can power both. AA batteries cannot be used. The WT-3 is also equipped with a DC-IN connector.
Convenient controls: Equipped with a shutter-release and an AF start button as well as main and sub-command dials for shooting in vertical orientation.
Built-in antenna with a range of approx. 80 m.
Secure image transfer with WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) as well as TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) and AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), which are available with Infrastrcture Mode.
Built-in printing mode allows you to send images saved to the memory card directly to a PictBridge-compatible printer, or to a printer connected to a computer on the same network.
WT-3 Setup Utility (included) creates device profiles. Compatible with: Windows XP Professional/Home Edition, and Mac OS X, version 10.3 or later.
