The best lenses lead to better images, and the FT1 Mount Adapter lets you attach a range of NIKKOR F mount lenses to the 1 mount on Nikon 1 interchangeable lens cameras.
From extreme wide-angles to super-telephoto lenses and more, you can choose from over 60 lenses to suit your shooting situation or experiment with new creative ideas. When you use an AF-S NIKKOR lens, you can still make use of the Nikon 1 autofocus system and record Motion Snapshots.
A world of possibilities: compatible with a wide range of NIKKOR F mount D-SLR lenses, the FT1 adapter offers every chance to match a lens to your shooting situation.
Easy attachment: whichever NIKKOR F mount lens you use, it attaches easily and securely to the FT1 mount adapter on Nikon 1 interchangeable lens cameras.
Angle of view: the angle of view of an F mount lens mounted on the FT1 is equivalent to that of a 35mm format lens with a focal length of about 2.7 x longer.
Autofocus compatibility: if you use AF-S NIKKOR lenses, you can still make use of the Nikon 1 autofocus system. Focus mode must be set to AF-S (Single AF) and AF-area mode is fixed at Single-point, with only the center focus point used.
Electronic range finding is available in manual focus mode.
Compatible lenses: the FT1 adapter can be used with a wide range of NIKKOR F-mount lenses. For a full list of compatible lenses, please go to the bottom of this page.
Motion Snapshots: you can use the unique Nikon 1 Motion Snapshot mode when shooting with AF-S NIKKOR lenses in AF-S (Single AF) focus mode.
Vibration reduction: the FT1 Mount Adapter supports lenses with Vibration Reduction.
Fixed tripod mount: ensures stability when you use large NIKKOR lenses.
Firmware: the Nikon 1 V1 and the Nikon 1 J1 require firmware update version 1.10 for compatibility with the FT1 Mount Adapter. This firmware adds a focus indicator (range finder) than can be used with CPU lenses. To check your camera firmware version and download the firmware please go to ‘Nikon 1 Firmware Updates page’.
